Pretty simple. Every time I click any "news" link on my home page in Firefox it always runs into a pay wall. This is crap as these losers get a hit count to their site, get to load ads (for some people), and so on but I don't get to read the article. And who know s what kinda crap they are dumping into my cache. This needs to be fixed or the "feature" removed. This is basic privacy shit not included in a browser that tries to brag about privacy features.....

I was trying to access a local HTTPS website of an embedded device (a Siemens S7-1500 PLC) that is using a self-signed certificate, but was unable to go on (attached image #1, in Italian language) due to the the SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL error. I've browsed a similar PLC webserver in the past, so the fact that the device exposes a similar certificate serial number is not so strange for me, considering also it's self-signed.

The problem is that I cannot follow the instructions of the Mozilla knowledgebase here because I'm not able to identify the correct certificate of the website!

In the attached image #2 you can see that the connection is detected as not encrypted, I suppose because only the form part of the HTML that is posting the data using HTTPS while the rest is using HTTP, but I'm not sure. If I click on the padlock icon (attached image #3) the info about the current certificate is not displayed.

Then I went into Tools > Options and searched for "certificates"; as you can see in the attached images #4 and #5, neither in the Servers tab nor in the Authorities tab I can find any item that is related to 192.168.10.2 (the webserver IP address) or Siemens (the embedded device manufacturer). But unfortunately the error persist! Initially there was a 192.168.10.2:443 line in the Servers tab and I removed it and restarted Firefox, but it didn't solve, so at the moment the situation is the one depicted by the attachments.

I had to use Microsoft Edge to access the website, but I would like to solve this issue and use Firefox instead. Is there anything else I can do to bypass the error? Why doesn't the error page provide a way to correctly identify the wrong certificate using its fingerprint and/or name? Or, maybe, is there a way to disable this check for local IP addresses or for items in a whitelist?

I have just started getting Virus/Trogan messages from McAfee when brousing with Firefox. I have not installed McAfee so is this a blackmailing/SCAM by McAfee to get me to pay?. I only get these messages when using Firefox, It seems to be somthing that's got into Firefox! I don't, at the moment, have this annoyance on my Laptop.

Description: For the past few versions, Firefox has lost the ability to upload folders via drag-and-drop into Synology File Station.

The Issue: Dragging a folder into the File Station interface used to work, but now it is no longer recognized or fails to parse the directory structure.

Comparison: This feature continues to work perfectly in Chrome, suggesting a recent regression in Firefox's handling of webkitGetAsEntry or related directory APIs.

Note: This is specifically about the drag-and-drop action, as the native "Upload" button has never supported directory selection. Environment:

Browser: Firefox 150.0.3 (and several recent prior versions) Server: Synology DSM 7.2.1 OS:Windows 11

Hi, I recently had to reinstall windows and I lost access to my Firefox bookmarks. I did not manually export my bookmarks before reinstalling and now i couldn't find them in my current Firefox setup. Is there any way to recover my old bookmarks or restore my previous Firefox profile date? can you please guide me on what can I do to retrieve them if possible? thank you.

I have floccus extension installed to sync my bookmarks to my WebDAV server located in private network. The floccus bookmark sync is successful when the build-in VPN is turned off, but it reported NetworkError when the build-in VPN is turned on.

Just recently when my main yahoo page comes up it goes blank within a few seconds. It's ok if I bring up Firefox in troubleshooting mode. I constantly have to refresh to get the page back.

All of a sudden I am unable to login to ingramspark.com It just keeps spinning but never gets past this page where I can enter my username and password info.

I am making another plea: how do I change the font size of the working bars in firefox? The Title BAR, the Menu BAR, the Tab BAR, etc. On my computer, they're minuscule, and I can't see them. I'm not a programmer, I don't know anything about code, so that limits the way things can be explained to me, or that I can understand. Several of you have been kind enough to suggest different solutions, but they all make things worse. I think I've screwed things up almost irreparably. I can barely recognize my browser any more. I've even tried to refresh Firefox, and that also made the situation worse. And now, every tab crashes constantly. Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem.
