I have Firefox installed and pinned to the taskbar. When I click it, it immediately goes to a download Firefox page instead of opening. I then open another tab to get into g mail or anything else. I can then close the download tab and continue. This is most annoying. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling which works but then lost all bookmarks and the answer there was to go to old Firefox and restore, which I did and that worked , however, the download page came with as well and this time in a different more colorful version that is quite long.

my problem is that whenever I try to use form fill it will input everything and when it gets to the phone number it will add +1 to the entry so my phone number will be an incorrect or invalid number meaning that I will need to manually enter the information anyways which is kind of frustrating because what is the point

I'm struggling to disable this behavior of firefox. When I type "something: text", it's opening a pop-up asking "Open link with System Handler?".

I would rather just search the internet for "something: text".

How can I do that?

I've tried to play with parameters like network.protocol-handler.expose.something network.protocol-handler.app.something network.protocol-handler.external.something network.protocol-handler.warn-external.something

but didn't manage to do it

When i try to connect to some websites, firefàx prompts "error 502 bad gateway" the same websites work on EDge !

when I start the browser, alongside homepage, it opens a new unknown page (which I've never searched and opened myself before) with extremely obscene content. for example https://playafterdark.com/click? thanks god, my children haven't seen it yet how is it possible?

Suddenly I have a South African Facebook occupying my fire fox log in. It won't let me go into my account. When I use Safari on the same Macbook I can get access, so somehow it was become fixed to my fire fox browser. How can I get rid of this South African Facebook block or should I just remove firefox as my long time browser. I've done all the cookie deletes and regular stuff. I'd appreciate some professional help. Regards, Jim

Since the last update or two, cookies are filling up crazy fast - especially from Facebook - and I'm barely on it even these days. AND, I am not surfing other sites either, just working (claude/chatgpt only mostly).

I can't block cookies because things won't work the same - but this is ridiculous to have to empty everything constantly/daily.

What changed? Can you guys please fix this?

Why do we constantly receive daily(sometimes twice daily) request to download updates for Firefox - it is extremely irritating - we are thinking of removing Firefox altogether !

I am constantly getting hit with all sorts of REPEATED prompts to "Try" features..ex - "Try Horizontal Tabs" or "Create a Profile". I am getting frustrated with the inability to stop these annoying and useless prompts. I need a browser that let's me work the way I want and need to work, I don't need a browser that thinks it knows better than I, what I need. Using about:settings is not intuitive and leads to breaking more things than it fixes. I try to stop the prompts to try horizontal tabs and it breaks my easy access to the ChatGPT cog.

Put all these feature recommendations on a single page displayed to the user with a "Do Not Show Again" checkbox. Or limit the prompts to 3 times max or once a month. Something far more reasonable than every time I open the browser. People, this is not difficult - Stop being over-baring and persistent with these undesirable recommendations. ALL USERS ARE NOT THE SAME.

If I do not "Try" when prompted, especially the 2nd, 3rd time etc. it is highly likely that I am not interested and want to be left alone. I am ready to ditch Firefox and move to Chrome or Opra. Let me reword that - I am being run off by Firefox's nag tactics. I assure you another day or two of this and - & "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe" -ms will be next. I am not going to use about: and search through endless config options every time I need to get my work done. Make it easy to stop or stop it entirely but stop trying to control my browser usage. I don't have to use Firefox you know. After 48 hours passes if these prompts don't go away, FireFox will be automatically removed. In other words, give me a reason to manually stop this scheduled task.....or don't.

This appears to be a new "feature" that is absolutely insanely stupid.

There are websites that use a phone number as a user ID and now, instead of that number being remembered by Firefox as a user ID, Firefox now inserts a list of EVERY possible phone number you've ever typed, for you to chose from. The irony in my case being that the phone number in question that was being used as a user ID, is NOT in the list.....

Hi, I open a lot of links on my andorid phone and want to read them on my laptop. I synched both devices so I am able to open my Android tabs from my laptop, but now I want to definitely close the pages I've read on both devices, but when I right-click on the tab in the 'tabs from other devices' list, the option "Close tab on Firefoxe #android#" is greyed, How can I use this very option I was looking for ?

It would be nice to be able to add notes to passwords so I know what they are about and organise them into an alphabetic list. Another useful feature would be the ability to create folders to organise passwords into groups.

Distorted fonts and graphics. I've tried: 1. disabling graphic acceleration 2. change default fonts 3. reinstall firefox 4. remove extensions

Seems to be mostly fonts but perhaps also graphics. Only happens in firefox. Please help. Thanks

I'm using lasted version of Firefox Desktop and also using Kaspersky VPN. Whenever vpn is deactivated I cannot connect some websites. I just clicked and nothing happens. But if i tried with activated vpn, it's connecting.

I was trying to solve this problem but cant find solution.

PS. I did try on other browsers(Edge and Opera). I just connecting whatever is vpn status.
