I’ve been noticing an issue with YTS-type sites on Firefox. The site either loads partially, the player doesn’t start, or it keeps buffering without playing anything.

What’s strange is that the exact same site works perfectly fine on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. Videos load instantly there, but on Firefox it either breaks or takes forever.

Things I’ve already tried: – Cleared cache and cookies – Disabled all extensions – Tried in private window – Checked network (no issues)

It feels like something related to Firefox compatibility with the video player or scripts used on these sites.

I also tested another version here which seems to work better on Firefox:

Not sure what’s different (maybe a different player or encoding), but it loads without issues for me.

Has anyone else faced this or knows what might be causing it?

I was trying to install a minecraft modpack about 2 days ago using curseforge, but now randomly when my browser is open this pop-up will appear even though i havent visited curseforge since then

What can I do to see these blocked items? This happens to everything I click on. Pictures or articles on clothing, political issues, absolutely every thing that has an option to check to see more. This is rather recently happening. I'm wondering if Yahoo has done something since their "New" but not better version of email.

In Firefox 152.0.5 under Windows 10, when I hover the mouse pointer over a tab, a balloon pops up showing the text that is on the tab. I find this extremely annoying as I can read what is on the tab. I have searched on the Mozilla site, and I have searched with Google, all to no avail. How can I disable those redundant popup balloons?

So I know these websites are kind of crap anyway, but I have issues with scrolling bsky.social (and other clients for it like witchsky) and twitter. The further into the timeline I get, the more frequently these webpages lag.

They begin freezing every few seconds for a few seconds, during which they queue left or right clicks, page up/page down, and various other commands, only processing them once it unfreezes. Firefox itself still works during this freeze, e.g. opening the main menu. Also, I can still scroll up or down to a limited degree, though this just exposes empty, unrendered webpage until it unfreezes.

bsky.social has had this problem for a long time, but twitter only recently developed this issue after I had to do a cache clear, cookie clear, etc. trying to log in a few weeks ago. Prior to that it didn't have this issue.

Task manager hasn't really helped elucidate what's wrong, so it might be an about:config that I set or even an unruly extension, but I really don't know what to try.

Right clicking a pic on the web has a CONTEXT MENU entry of "Search Image on Tineye"

How do I remove this entry?

There are actually many context entries in Firefox I would like to remove. Is there a general way to do so?

Hello, I am trying to create and use my account, but I keep getting the message "Using Proxy/VPN is forbidden." I am not using any VPN or proxy. Dozens of reboots every day due to video seizures only with Firefox. Tab crashes causes those I am ordered to support to LOSE WORK. After a tab crash and restore the FF interface is frozen -- no type of input from peripherals possible. This is all supposed to be solved by Monday. If I am out of luck with FF -- just tell me. That's very simple. New machines, new OS and it's worse than under the legacy systems we support after moving up from Win 7 Pro.

currently running 153.0.1, in Windows 10 I started having trouble with web pages not working (I have auto-tab discard, so after a while the pages go dormant and when I go pack in they have to refresh) only they wouldn't refresh

I'd hit refresh and it would stay blank but if I opened it in a new tab it opened fine (noted this first in tumblr and youtube - probably since previous to last update) also opening links from an 'affected' (youtube video page that stops working) will also have those new tabs blank and eternally trying to load

then yesterday the problems ramped up; other pages start not working, not when I refresh, not when I open a new page. youtube videos will just stop loading, yahoo's inbox displays "no internet connection" warning (even when I can scroll tumblr, but the links still break) I can access those same pages and others normally in other browsers

also if I just keep working in the still half broken pages it gets to a point firefox simply stops allowing me to do anything on new tabs, it gets slower and slower, taking up to a minute to open one page (internet fine in other browsers). eternally frozen in loading pages do not allow me to access settings or react to pressing Alt, or pressing "stop loading"

I tried deactivating all extensions, I tried (and am currently writing this in troubleshoot mode) it still happens

if I restart firefox it works for a bit, and then starts breaking, timing seems rather random, (once it happened with one youtube video and one mail tab open, other time's i've opened several youtube videos a couple tumblr pages and one mail tabs (easiest to notice the "no internet connection in the mail tab)

Turn off tracking, even put x.com as an exception and it still won't let me log into X. Other browsers will but not firefox. I have noticed login problems on other sites too.. even with it " off" ie: IT DOES NOT TURN OFF. Windows 10 system
