I am using Thunderbird 140.0.1 (64-bit) for Windows and with this update there is a new account windows sety up. When adding a new account it only asks me for the email address and when I press continue it I get a blue circle going round and round and no progress. In previous versions I would input the email and password and this would work.

Once in a while, my firefox has been randomly getting a mysterious tab appear and immediately disappear, leaving me no time to check what it was. There isn't a clear pattern to what triggers it or when does it happen... I think it happens like once or twice per day?

I assume it's just some buggy extension updating itself in the background or something like that, but I wanted to troubleshoot this issue just to be sure.

I wanted to check a log with details about previously opened/closed tabs, but these mysterious tabs leave no entries in the History at all. I searched around and couldn't find anything that helps me further. Is there anything like that I could check?

I'm not really sure if Troubleshoot Mode prevents this problem or not, since I haven't found a way to reliably reproduce it.

I'm running Thunderbird 128.14 on a Lenovo Z500 IdeaPad laptop with a touch screen, using MX Linux 23.6 with the standard XFCE desktop. I just installed Thunderbird 12.0 on my Phone (Galaxy Note20, Android 13). Account setting were taken from my Desktop PC using the QR Code. In all three Accounts only Mails in the Main IMAP-Inbox are shown. Subfolders (like "sent" or "drafts") are all found, but the messages inside will not be shown. It will only say "Load more messages" but does not find any. In K9-Maiil 11.1 this still worked, but I had to uninstall it as after the automatic update to 12.0 it suddenly kept crashing on startup.

Already tried to add my main account from scratch on my tablet (with a fresh install of Thunderbird 12.0), but the problem with empty subfolders remains.

Any thoughts on this?

Since the Windows 11 Pro update (above) on September 9, I have been unable to compose a new email with Thunderbird. When "New Message" is selected, the new message window opens and is expected. The problem is that the new message window is non-responsive to any keys on the keyboard. The only way to close the window is to "ALT CTL DLT" to close that task. For a few days now, synchronization and opening new messages from a Gmail account configured in Thunderbird have been very slow. Android Collections feature needs work. 1. It's too easy to accidentally delete a bookmark from collections. Slight of hand and it's gone. Needs a confirm delete option. 2. Can't order or edit bookmarks in collections.

Windows 11 There is a way to go to a utility to sort bookmarks, but utility does not translate the sorted order back to the browser menu making it useless.

I reported this once before. I got an arrogant response saying: I'm just a volunteer here I can't do this. I don't have a bugzilla account. I have no way to report these to developers.

Ran into an interesting bug with Firefox since installing the macOS26 Dev beta. Whenever I use command space to bring up spotlight, Firefox become unresponsive, the beach ball will spin. It will only happen if Firefox is in focus when I use spotlight, and only if I am signed into Firefox sync.

I am not sure of a way to help replicate this issue as it seems to only happen when signed with Sync, but I would be happy to provide additional if I can.

my password manager has deleted every single password I have which I do not memorize forcing me to start from scratch but I have valueable accounts that I do not remember the password to so is there a way you could return my passwords?

Firefox is not saving my passwords. Every time I start up my laptop, all the saved passwords are gone. I have tried a refresh and a new install as well, but the problem persists. I have to sync to my other machine to restore them.

Hi, I have googled this and been into the Thunderbird Help section and cannot find an answer. I am having trouble with one of my email accounts, I want to delete it and it and reinstall it. I get to the point in the process where it says to click on Remove Or Remove account but there is no tab or button that is visible to do this. Help here would be greatly appreciated. Regards Mark
