Big audio pop in app when used in Firefox

I use the DeepL translation app in Firefox on my Mac Mini M4 (OS 27.0.1). The app has an audio button to hear the written translation. When I use this feature, there's a loud pop at the end of the translation. This doesn't happen in the standalone app on my Mac. There are no audio/video devices connected to my Mac; the audio is from the Mini. All systems are updated.
