I'm getting the above message on only one of the accounts in my set-up but it's the main account (listed as a "special account") and extremely important.

It's a very large folder but, like others I have cleared space but it still persists and I CAN move e-mails to it so writing to the folder doesn't appear to be a problem - it's just downloading which is the problem. It logs into the server, tells me how many e-mails are available, occasionally says it's downloading a couple but doesn't download them and then puts up that message.

Please help, I use it for 2-part verification etc. and it's causing me serious problems.

Forgot to say: The server space is 2GB and I'm only using 425MB of it at the moment.

I can't find a way to change the account from POP3 to IMAP to test that but I've set up an identical account using IMAP instead of POP3 and that works.

Has the recent update caused a POP3 problem? (My last successful POP3 download was after 18:00 on the 4th of January 2024 UK time)

Try the following. I suspect you have an antivirus program problem? Those test will indicate if I am even on the right track.

Many thanks for your reply, Matt.

I'm not sure when (because I've been relying on the IMAP connection) but POP3 has started working again with no changes whatsoever made at my end!

I notice that the release notes for 115.6.1 include "New mail indicator for POP3 accounts did not indicate new messages ready to be downloaded" and wonder whether that fix also cured a bug introduced with the 115.6.0 update released on the 19th of December. That would certainly cover the timetable for my problem which seemed to appear when I applied the 115.6.0 update.

Anyway: all now appears to be well again and my thanks to all the team.

Best wishes, Paul.
