Composition setting: expand 'tab' to spaces
Hi there,
I would swear that there used to be a Setting where you could have T-bird auto-expand the 'tab' character to spaces, and could define how many spaces. I can't seem to find that anymore. (I actually want to turn it off, and just use native 'tab' character...)
It's been years since I have looked for it. I'm on version: 115.2.3 (Supernova); MacOS.
Thanks.

Does switching to Preformat work (see picture)?

Yes, that actually functions: a 'tab' keystroke is represented by a tab ascii character (and not 4 spaces).
But... is there a way to get the same thing in proportional fonts?
