mails only visible when properties and repair folder are set for one folder
I had already some help(disble Sophos, system restore, though without success), but after the system restart there were no traces of the previous exchange of messages

The suggestion to use safe boot was not helpful, and returning to normal mode requires some more steps, but I found the solution in: "Thunderbird Emails not Appearing in any Folders" Nevertheless, not everything run fine after that - calender disappeared and after installing lightning I found instead the"microcalender" with all events still present. The menu item "calender" is still there but greyed out. So I Am still missing the calendar overview
