Hi, I've been using TB for more than a decade, but I'm not a programmer or tech worker. When I'm ready to empty the Inbox, I've already looked at it to make sure there is nothing in it that I need to keep. I use filters that sort my mail-- work, correspondence, shopping, etc. But the Inbox fills up more and more quickly with all kinds of stuff I may or may not want to read, and definitely don't need to archive. Originally, when I wanted to empty my Inbox, I would rename the box and TB would automatically regenerate the Inbox, so it was a quick way to empty it. At some point new updates of TB no longer will allow renaming or deleting the Inbox (that I can see), which means the only way I've been able to figure out how to empty the Inbox is to highlight a group of emails and press "Delete" (trying to Select All and Del just crashes). This is very slow and annoying to do, which means I tend to let way more emails build up in the Inbox, which in turn causes problems in TB's function and slows things down. Is there any way to mass delete (or mass move) the emails from the Inbox? I've tried searching in the Help section but I am not finding anything. Most of what comes up is accidental deletions.
