I know that Android app is not yet finished, but I am wondering if there are plans for Wear OS app as well? There are no full-featured mail clients on Wear OS, so this might be a great opportunity to be first.

The likes of Google have the money and resources to do loads of stuff, but for Thunderbird it's not that simple. Different ethos and income and resources etc. It's taken an exceptionally long time just to get around to developing an app for phone and that's still not ready. Basically do not hold your breath.
