Firefox uses around 50-60% CPU when I start my pc

So everytime I start my computer, my fans are ramping up and when I check task manager I see firefox at 50-60% CPU usage, without even starting it. This also lags my pc to the point where in games I'm dropping anywhere from 20-100 FPS. Everything is ok if I end the task, but it comes back when I restart my PC. This has also happened with Chrome.
