Cannot Access Email. I get "Set up and Existing email account" and it does not work

I had Thunderbird as my email software. I got a message - Need to upgrade. I clicked on that. Then I get a box saying "Set up an existing email Account". I put in my name, my email address, My password (???? - never had one, certainly don't know it). I put in my Mozilla password. Then I get a message "Unable to log in at server, wrong configuration, username, or password.  ? I even tried downloading Thunderbird from the website and I get all of the same boxes. Help?

The instructions were very thorough and I managed to do all of it until I did the restart. Then I got the same pop up screen "Set Up An Existing email Account" Asking for my name, email address, and password, and I don't know my password?
