Firefox crashes

Firefox won't open at all, I get the crash report every time.
MacOS Sierra Version 10.12.3

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.
- Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
- Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

The Firefox file does not exist in my Application Support. I found a Crash Reporter folder but nothing seems to pertain to Firefox.
Safe mode using the option key doesn't work - same thing, just a crash report.
Can't create a new profile. I went through the Terminal prompt, but all that happened was Firefox tried to open and it crashed on open as usual.
