Just got the update on 3/16/17

immediatly after the update and it loaded, pages will not load content. It is running so slow that the intergrated cryptocurrency miner on my website is barely running at 1 hash per second (runs at 7 H/s on aother browsers and my pc program).

I have done everything suggested even a reset of the browser as a last resort and still nothing.. Anyone else having this issue and have found a fix for it?

Hi TommyBear, is it the issue where parts of pages are blank and some appear when you hover them? Does a touch of zoom fix it temporarily (hold down Ctrl and tap + or -)?

That would be characteristic of a Firefox 59 issue affecting Windows users who disabled ClearType font smoothing. As a temporary workaround, you can disable Firefox from using hardware acceleration. This is one of the settings mentioned in the following article. You need to exit Firefox and start it up again before that takes effect.

Firefox's performance settings

If you installed the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52, it should not cross-update to the stable release of Firefox 59. Its next major update will be Firefox 60.

Tommy,

Same problem here. I am running W7, I7, 12G memory and currently FF 59.0.1

This actually started with FF 58.n.n and has been bad for a month. It has gotten worse with the last three releases.

I wish FF would stop fixing things and just settle on a stable browser.

FF 59.0.1 is again a CPU and Memory Hog. I am needing to restart it at least twice a day.

yup, I had downgraded to 52.n.n and did some mods to prevent updates. But FF changed how things work and removed those settings so you cannot override the prevention of updates, so when 59.0.1 just came out, they forced the update and now there is no way of undoing it. I even uninstalled FF and removed all traces from my PC, and tried installing 52.n.n again. it once again forced update to 59.0.1
