This was asked in 2011, but the solutions are not compatible with the present 2017 version. I routinely Override the colors specified by the webpages going back and forth between "Only with High Contrast Themes" and "Always". I'd like to create either a custom hot-key (preferred) or a menu bar toggle button to go back and forth between these two choices. The option chosen needs to be compatible with the latest version of FireFox. Any suggestions?

The closest I found when I searched last week was:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/togglewebsitecolors/

That integrates into the context menu (right-click or on Mac, Ctrl+click).

Note that Manuel Reimer the creator of this extension created a few extensions because his PrefBar extension can't be ported to a WebExtension.
