Why does history forget default to 5 minutes? Won't clear 2 & 24hrs

After browsing, I've opened the menu to access "Forget," and select the closest browsing time setting. EG: If I've browsed for 1-2 hours, I select "Forget the last 2 hours." If longer, the "24 hours" is selected.

Once the "Forget" button is activated, I can physically see the selected time default back to "5 minutes."

It is apparent that Firefox will not clear everything outside of 5 minutes.

It gives the appearance, (along with other history clear/privacy complaints in your forum) there indeed is either a glitch in the system, or (please pardon my frustration) lulling FireFox users into believing their privacy is actually protected.
