My mistake. I had to increase available disk space and when reviewing what I could delete I saw 2 Thunderbird listing. When I uninstalled 1 everything went. I have tried to restore with a previous back up. I have tried to restore with a COPY I also made. So far I can not find a way to get back very very important previous email accounts, folders, sub folders and all related emails even though I know the back ups were only 1 day old. Is there anything I can do to recover all?

what about just reinstalling. My guess is when you finally do your mail will be just where you left it.

I tried this also after I did restore of back ups and before I did restore. All email accounts were gone, all folders and subfolders also. After I reinstalled the email accounts same problems. I am now a little bit ahead. I found over 95% of all my previous emails, located the Third settings in MS7 64 Pro, created same on correct disk, Third had chosen new defaults and file names in install, copied the backed up files-folders-emails and all ancillary files to Third names for email accounts. Went back in new Third with all the wrong locations and files, changed the location for the email master files and got back the 95%. I still have a lot of work to do to get back a lot of emails that were medical and.legal with pdf files attached (they are all missing) but even if I have to find every.single one in Adobe and re-email them I think I will get very close to 100% afterwards. I still wish and hope there will be some easier solution in the future. I can not be the only one in the world making mistakes and needing some kind of undo available. As most know the MS Restore Point is often as helpful as screen doors on row boats. Thanks all for trying to help.
