Yesterday morning I stopped getting emails on cfreedman@frontier.com and cjfreedman@frontier.com. I could send emails, but not receive and thunderbird could not save sent messages. It looks like somehow, the pop3 became and imap. I called frontier support. They told me I must have been lucky it worked. He was no help. As we were working on the issue, I noticed an upgrade to 38---- whatever. Oh, he said that is the problem. Well no, it wasn't. The message was server may be disconnected. I gathered my info and tried to change ports. Then I got a message that fronier is a pop not imap. My plan was to delete the two accounts and redo them according to the instructions I found. However, the thunderbird decided to freeze and the tech hung up. Not hiks fault. Nice, huh??? I then ran in safe mode and eliminated all the emails before early July. I was going to delete the account and build a new one for the frontier emails. My other email through another company is working just fine. I sent test emails to it from the frontier. It got them. Now, however; I cannot even open Thunderbird. It immediately freezes and I have to hard boot down. I did not try to receive messages in safe mode, but I did send. It did not freeze in safe mode. I have read some technical stuff on firefox, but I need 1/2/3 help. Not a techie. I cannot even receive the emails that may come in!!! I have no working email in Thunderbird right now due to freezing. Don't suppose you call????

I do believe I figured it out. It all started with Frontier being disconnected. Not being a techie, I did not even think why the pop3 had disappeared. It seems Frontier is not Imap and probably all you know that is pretty much obsolete. Everyone but me. I have worked on this for at least 2 days. I took out my frontier emails and Thunderbird works perfectly again. It would not hold pop3 at all and for good reason. Can I redo the survey I took???? The Frontier disconnect happened while Frontier was in my computer. They blamed you and I went along with it. Hmmm. That old catch 22. Get 'em off the line asap to keep the stats up.
