My FF updated to 8.0 today. When I try to drag the tab it changes into a strange miniature and I cannot drop it on my bookmarks bar anymore.

Dragging tabs to folders on my bookmarks bar was my main way of performing this task. How can I do it now?

Chosen solution

Drag the image from the URL bar, not from the Tab. I'm not sure what the new feature is called, but it was introduced when 8.0 was in the Aurora stage a few weeks ago.

You might want to ask about it over here, where the "testers" hang out.

The only reason why you were updated to 8.0b1 was because you are on the Beta channel due to using a Beta version of 7.0 or older and staying with it from that point on.

If you would rather use 7.0.* then download it from www.mozilla.com in order to get back on the Release channel.

Thanks, edmeister.

@James I'm fine with beta channel. I was just wondering how to perform that task now.

In the meantime I have found out that I can also perform it by ctrl-dragging the tab. edmeister's solution is way better though as it doesn't force me to use the keyboard.
