In Firefox 3.6 versions on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux it's possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar.
- Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
- Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).
i tried a lot of that. finally gave up and rang iyogi tech support. actually all if have to do is put your cursor on the white space and click up comes everything you need. make sure not to click on what i had refresh, stop loading and home. JUST THE WHITE PART OF THE BAR! however i am sure most people will understand it. i have severe add and dsylexcia. what an idea, a spell check at the top. i find it so embarrasing and the time to check the dictionary every time endlessly...:)
