I have an Imac version 10.4.11.I downloaded Firefox version 4.0 and it says it's not compatable with my system. In the mean time I replaced and trashed my old version, which had all my bookmarks, updates, and settings. I am not happy!!!

After I downloaded Firefox 4.0 I replaced my old version and trashed it. Now I've lost everything and when I tried to sign into Firefox 4.0 it said my system did not support it. What do I do now?

I just went through the exact same situation. I trashed 4.0 and then I went to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older and re-downloaded 3.6.16. I was relieved to see that all of my bookmarks, etc, were still intact. I am very unhappy that Mozilla is not posting the fact that 4.0 is not compatible with 10.4.11, as there are still some folks like us who have not needed to upgrade to higher Mac OS systems (although I fear we're being forced into it bit by bit)....

Hey Staniel- I've been meaning to get back to you for a couple of weeks, but (duh) I forgot my user name for this site...finally got it. THANKS SO MUCH! Your fix worked perfectly, quickly, and easily. I got all my bookmarks and tabs back and ignore the cloud that keeps coming up suggesting I get the lastest version of Firefox! You're the man! -Deejm311
