If I go to VIEW and remove check in Navigation, I lose the return feature, etc. BING is not in my Control Panel Add/Remove list. BING is not in any of the add on categories.

I have to select a Bookmark or search for a site in order to get rid of the BING wallpaper. The tabs that were up when I closed Firefox are gone upon reopening.

I hate BING. If I can't get rid of it, I will find another place to use

Check the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Nothing on the list given after I put "about:config" in address bar and pressed "enter" started with" http:// " The only thing I saw that could be related to my issue is this:

browser.search.selectedEngine;Bing

When I right clicked it there were things like "copy" and other directions to click on, but not to remove it. So now what do I do?

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for bing via the Filter at the top of that page.
You can reset all related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.
