This happened a couple weeks ago (before yesterdays issue).

After a major update the browser started with no addons installed. I restarted firefox and they came back but only 2 out of about 10 show up in on the extensions list page.

hi jesse9212, this is/was caused by an unforeseen technical problem unfortunately (an expired certificate used in the process of verifying addon signatures).

a fix for this is already being rolled out - for details, please see: https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

The fix deleted all settings and addon preferences.

That's not true. When the problem was on 66.0.3 then after I update to 66.0.4 and 66.0.5 my addons worked just fine.

The expired certificate issue was not due to using Firefox 66.0.3 or any other Firefox version.

The 66.0.4 and 66.0.5 was as a way to get peoples extensions (that were affected by expired certificate) working again.

I understand, but it reset all my extensions and settings. They are, however, back in the extensions list now.
