Why is there no option/keyboard shortcut to temporarily allow popups.?

There is an urgent need for a keyboard shortcut similar to Internet Explorer(ctrl + alt) to disable popups created by an active window for as long as the key combination (for shortcut button) is pressed. This could further help users maintain a proper list of websites that require popup blocking in an event where one rarely visits a website.

In most cases, the user wants to stop pop-ups. If there is a site you want to allow,

Type about:preferences#content<enter> in the address bar Under Content turn on Block pop-up windows. To its right, press Exceptions. List any sites that you do not want pop-ups to be blocked.

You would normally see an icon on the location/address bar when a pop-up is blocked. Clicking this icon should make it possible to allow pop-ups.

You can inspect permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • click the Control Center 'i' icon at the left end of the location/address bar
  • click the arrow to expand the security message
  • click "More Information" to open "Tools -> Page Info"
  • click "Permissions" to inspect and modify permissions

I do not wish to add permanent exceptions for websites, but want to temporarily allow popups from a website that cannot be 100% trusted.
