help! Cannot use firefox, and it wont let me download the newest version!

Have been unable to open mozilla for awhile now, so today I decided to download the newest version, and it keeps telling me that firefox must be closed to proceed with the installation, and to close...but it is not open! Help!

Hi cwesaw,

It is possible that a previous Firefox session did not close. In Windows 7 and up you can look for the currently running processes in the Task Manager. (This can be found by typing it into the start search menu) Find it with this video: http://www.screencast.com/t/Uk3NWCZc

Close it then restart Firefox. If you continue to have this issue, please try to start Firefox with the Profile Manager: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles

Does Firefox still give the same error? "Firefox is already running but is not responding" error - How to fix Try this as well.
