Very slow connect to intranet site with TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

Hi,

I experience a very slow initial connection to an intranet site I have no control over (3rd party stuff) if I connect with https. Chromium shows no delay, so I conclude that firefox (41.0) is "more secure" and does additional stuff to verify the secure connection. Somebody assumed DNS problems, but since the problems are not fixable in a reproducible way, I'm asking here.

How can I debug this? Addon SSLeuth showed the following information:
