when i open web sites using firefox the sites do not line up with the fonts
When I open up sites with firefox the fonts do not line up where they should be. the screen is alot skinnier. If i open the same site with IE the sites look great. every thing lines up the screen is wider. I hate to have to use IE but firfox with windows 7 just doesn't seem to be working correctly.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
I tried you solution and it still does not work correctly.
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
