Cannot close Firefox except with Task Manager, since last upgrade

Since last upgrade, I can't close Firefox at all. I get a message about a "missing script."

I can't close at the X corner, can't close from the task bar.

The only way I can close is to open the Task Manager and shut it down.

Try running firefox in Safe Mode. My guess is that, over years of use, your profile (which contains your add-ons, history, settings, etc.) has become messy. You may need to reset your settings (you can do that from within Safe Mode) or create a new profile.
