remember passwords facility doesn't work at all

Hi, For some reason I've had to 'clean' my computer & then install everything again. Previously there was no problem with my current 'dilemma'. For some reason/s 'remember passwords' facility doesn't work at all. I've done all suggested 'journey' from Tools to Options ('remember passwords' & 'master password' boxes are marked) to Saved Passwords where whole box is clear without any passwords of the sites I'm using for.

Hello.

This has been reported by a number of users already, although I have never gotten any confirmation that the solution I'm suggestion works: try reinstalling Firefox. No data will be lost, so don't worry. I believe that will fix this problem (if you've already followed all the correct procedures, as you say). Please do report back the results.
