Bitwarden browser extension saving and using passkeys

jeanmcquillan

I am using a Mac with OS 27, current Firefox and current Bitwarden browser extension. I checked help but it advises: First, open the Bitwarden browser extension and go to Settings → Notifications. Verify that the Ask to save and use passkeys option is checked.

I cannot find Settings-Notifications in the Firefox Bitwarden browser extension, nor the Ask to save and use passkeys option.

When I try to save a website passkey to to Bitwarden in a website on Firefox, I get a message that I have to turn on iCloud keychain. However, since I use Bitwarden, I do not use Keychain.

Any way to get around these issues? Thanks J

Hi,

Since Bitwarden is a third-party extension, you should refer to its support resources instead. According to their AMO listing, you can get support at bitwarden.com.
