Address bar search forces using Bing even when it's disabled

For the last few months Firefox on my android phone has been often (but not always) forcing searches with bing. I have all search options set to Google so this should not be happening and I don't want it. I have no extensions installed at all. I have also turned off studies as I saw reports online that this can sometimes cause the problem I'm having but it makes no difference.

In your second screenshot, there's a line across the middle that says "Microsoft SwiftKey deep search". Since Microsoft operates Bing, I'm sensing that there might be a connection there.

It looks like that feature could add Bing suggestions to the Google suggestions, so depending on which one you tap, you could get Bing results. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/faq-microsoft-swiftkey-deep-search-782b6a0b-85a6-408e-a6ec-c19045a458f9

If you keep an eye on the pattern, could that be the explanation?
