If I was given an option to throw myself in the pit that's become PRIVATE BROWSING by Firefox, I chose it in ignorance. One reason I faithfully used original/old Firefox was due to the ease in locating articles I'd read 2 weeks ago. I've come to understand that I refer back to those far more often than many people do. As my years lengthen (nearly 73 of 'em) my short-term memory is no longer as retentive as it used to be. Firefox never failed me. Then came PRIVATE BROWSING. I need to TURN IT OFF - PERMANENTLY. If I ever need to immediately delete my browsing history, I will do it manually, just like always. YOU PEOPLE (I hate that term; that's exactly why I'm using it.) YOU PEOPLE need to elicit satisfaction with status quo before making a wholesale toss down the elevator shaft. Now, when I tic the "+" for a new tab, it automatically furnishes a New Private Tab. How about giving me back my old memory-saving New Tab? So far, I have resisted switching to Google, Safari, or God Knows. Please relieve the necessity.
