Bookmarks gone after update

Just updated to version 82 from 68 via Google play store and when I opened firefox all of my bookmarks were gone.

A single folder labeled desktopbookmarks with three subs labled: menu, toolbar and otherbookmarks all empty and weren't there before.

I had over a thousand bookmarks on the device Is there anyway to retrieve them?

Unless you have them syncced to another copy of Firefox, it will not be possible to recover that data.
