Please help!! I cannot send or receive emails in Thunderbird. This happened about a week ago and I have talked to the AT&T techs and none have been able to fix the problem. I love the Thunderbird email and have used it for many years without a problem, until now. Thanks in advance for your help. PS: I am using the 78.5.0 64bit version.

Open Account Settings in Thunderbird and report back with the entries you have for the following fields: Server name Port Authentication Method Connection Security

Also, have you been using AT&T's Secure Mail Key as the password in Thunderbird?

Sorry, I forgot, I was told to right mouse where the password went and paste. I have no clue what the security key is, when I paste to the password box, it just shows the whole box with dots from the left side of the box, to the right side of the box.

Confirm your AT&T settings, and enter a secure mail key instead of the account password.

The correct incoming server for POP is inbound.att.net on 995, SSL/TLS. Use normal password authentication with a secure mail key. Same for IMAP, except the server is imap.mail.att.net on 993.

If you are using ESET/NOD32 security/AV then probability is very high it is causing your problems.
