Well, it should be possible to fix that by turning off the new multi-process feature of Firefox.
Normally the new feature is an advantage. The odd Gah message indicates that a tab has crashed but the browser itself should continue working as normal. I do not understand how you get such a crash from a blank tab.
Pre-release versions of Firefox have easier methods of turning this feature off or adjusting its settings but for now: Disable multi-process tabs in Firefox by setting the related prefs to false on the about:config page.
browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

The tab crashes should be generating crash reports, can you try in Firefox's safe mode and with a blank startup tab and when it crashes visit about:crashes to obtain the CrashID for that tab crash and paste that crash ID into your reply, please.

Even after Firefox has been installed and used does the crashing stop the first time you use Firefox in a new additional Firefox profile? If so that indicates your wife's issue is due to some problem in the profile. Possibly comparing a new profile with a profile after closing down and restarting may throw some light on what is happening.

If put the browser.tabs.remote.autostart and autostart2 to false it doesnt help. if uninstalled and reinstalled Firefor its still not working.

Update Your Video Card Drivers
uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

HI pk,
done it all the way thru your description but it didn´t solve the problem.
i´m now using a waterfox Browser, if you want we´ll try to solve it.
Same problem is now on another computer in our System (WIN 7 Prof. N)
Maybe the problem is within the system?
I know longer know what is going on. Please re-frame your issue as now speak of another system as well Waterfox which is not supported by Firefox Support. Waterfox is licensed to use Mozilla Firefox engine for their browser and have their own support : https://www.reddit.com/r/waterfox/
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
ok, .. once again.
I have two computer with same system setup an on both I have the same Problem with Firefox.
Because I can not work with the Browser I have now installed Waterfox to be able to surfe.
I would not need any further support, because I use another Browser now. But if you´re interested in getting the problem solved, we can still work on it. Maybe someone have the same problem.
So my problem is not solved but I don´t need any further assistance!
thx for your help

Welcome :=} This should be the solution if wanting to use it.
please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.
Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.
Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I´d love to try it, but I can not enter the Options menu its closing by clicking on it!
