Thunderbird 52.3.0 downloads multiple identical emails and then will not work.
An email will arrive with a picture attached. I open the mail and it shows the photo. Then the same email down loads up to 10 times and nothing else will download into the inbox. The inbox is locked and stop receiving emails Any ideas how to unlock it please.

turn off email scanning in your anti virus program. Then restart your computer
