How can I configure TB to lookup a user's public certificate in LDAP for sending s/mime encrypted email? I've configured an LDAP directory entry, and I can search/find users in the directory, however, it doesn't pull their digital certificate. Are there specific ldap filters that need to be used?

Are you clicking to encrypt the mail? all I know about S/mime and encryption I just learned from that bug.
The only bug I see was fixed for Thunderbird 8 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572074
