Firefox (Win 7 SP1) not showing 42000x280 image? Working fine in Chrome + IE
I have an image (specifically http://tpupower.net/tron2.gif) that refuses to show in Firefox. The image is the frames from an animated gif saved with PHP's imagegif().
The file won't open in photoshop either, showing the error "Could not complete your request because of a problem with the file-format interface".
The file does however open fine in Chrome + IE.
Could this be a color profile problem? I'm really stumped.

Is it possible to reduce the dimensions and limit the height to about 32000px (16 bit signed integer)?
Firefox on Windows might be having a problem with displaying very large images.
Let me try right now and get back to you.
Edit:
Wow that worked! Thanks so much. But could you explain in a little bit of detail WHY that worked? And what I should be doing to my images to keep them working in Firefox (i.e. should I be keeping the total pixels below a certain amount or just keep it below a certain width)?

You're welcome.
Some bug reports about large images:
- bug 591822 - Images taller or wider than 32767 (signed short overflow limit) 96DPI pixels fails to be rendered
- bug 671302 - cairo-gdi: large background-images and gradients don't work beyond ~ 32735px (/questions/882572)
