The "save password" dialog disappears too quickly in latest Firefox release
With the new Firefox release, the "save password" dialog seems to disappear almost immediately after entering username / password on web site. Often I don't have time to move the mouse up to the buttons.
With earlier Firefox - eg, beginning of this year 2010 - the save password dialog persisted until the user actually clicked on a choice. Can I get this old behavior back?
It's not nice to suddenly change user-facing behavior and become harder to use.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions. You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")
I get the same problem. Safe Mode doesn't help.
What happens is that the site for which I need to remember the password is the first tab that is being reopened at Firefox startup. When FF restores more tabs, it hides the "remember password" dialog.
My workaround so far has been to close all other tabs, close FF, launch FF again, login, remember the password then reopen all other tabs.
