Firefox had been a safe haven for anti-AI, and used to be my go-to search engine. If this AI bullshit continues, no one will respect or use the browser. Stop implementing AI garbage that steals data

I cannot agree more. Firefox’s move to implement AI in the browser makes me think i need to start looking for an alternative browser.

I have a separate AI agent I use sometimes. Other than that I don’t want all these AI features that are wrong half the time.

I have been using firefox faithfully for many years, it breaks my heart to see them cave to the thralls of the dark side (succumb to the ai fad). Nothing about ai is secure, dare I say, nothing about ai is even useful. I can't believe I have to start disabling ai from Firefox and possibly uninstalling it entirely from all my devices. AI is Surveillance, AI is theft, AI is unprofitable. All it will do is slow down the browser experience and spy on us. It's a total security risk if it gets hacked. I've read about people getting all their saved passwords stolen by hackers through the cracks AI leaves in browser security.

I have always valued Firefox as software because the same way it never switched to being a Chromium skin like the rest of the browsers, it also never added blockchain, VR, AI, or any other trendy but ultimately useless features. I'm sad to see it go like this, and annoyed that I now have to look for a new browser that respects its userbase.

The entire reason I switched to Firefox was to avoid the AI crap. I don't want to have my system slowed down by useless garbage that pollutes our planet and uses up all of our water just so some tech bro feels justified by his gambling habit. Does anyone know of a browser that isn't giving in to the big machine? I'll change over in a heartbeat.

I have been using this browser for many years and it has always been stable. Now they want Ai more integrated into it? I call bs. I would be happy to use someone else's browser if they go through with this bad idea.

I originally picked Firefox because it didn't use chromium or jump to include fads that don't respect user's security or ability to have full control over the browser. Google Chrome, all the various chromium browsers, and many others never seemed to really be consumer focused, instead implementing features that would bring hype for shareholders without regard for their actual userbase. This push for AI to be integrated into Firefox goes against these reasons I picked it in the first place considering that AI has huge issues with privacy and takes proper understanding and control away from the user. I really hope Mozilla doubles back on this or at very minimum provides a version of Firefox that remains up to date with no AI as a part of the install or I will be looking for an alternative browser. Even if it can be disabled I do not want to have to configure that and have to worry I've missed a setting/that a new AI setting has been added with an update or have to deal with the bloat it adds.

i jumped ship from chrome so fast the moment they started pulling this, i will not hesitate to stop using firefox.

Thank you for your feedback, we really do appreciate it

Please be assured that Firefox will always remain a browser built around user control. That includes AI with increased user controls being made available in the first quarter of 2026. Choice matters and demonstrating our commitment to choice is how we build and maintain trust.
