Thunderbird New Feature

more options

Please consider a slight change in the new feature where on the bottom right we have an opportunity to click on "as read" or "delete". Great time saver, but for heaven's sake you bring up the Thunderbird anyway. Come on ! ! ! ? The short cut is so we don't have to bring it up. What good is this new feature if it is exactly the same number of clicks as if you didn't have this new feature. Walt

I'm not aware of that feature; can you post a screenshot of it?

Ed, Shown below is the feature I'm talking about... When you click on "Delete," it's because you don't want to do email at this time. Yet . . . Thunderbird puts itself up anyway. That is just as many clicks to delete a message as if that feature didn't exist. Can you forward this mistake to the programmers? When you click on Delete. Just delete it. For heavens sake don't interrupt what I'm doing. Walt

OK, I actually filed a bug for that six months ago. Does it happen all the time? It doesn't for me, but I can't determine any pattern. I attached this post to the bug, so maybe that will bring some attention.

You are right it doesn't happen all the time, but I think I know why. It might be when it is open already but in the background so you don't notice it. Or maybe it's the other way around. It is open but not in front. I'll watch for it. Oh and I like the feature very much. This is because so much of my email is crap and so easy to spot. Thanks for responding Ed. Walt
