Concerning reverting Thunderbird back to a previous version
Hello,
I received an update for Thunderbird today and something must have gone wrong. After this update was completed I was asked to restart the computer. After doing so and I got back into Winndows and the Program Icon for Thunderbird changed to an Install Program Icon. Before it was the normal Thunderbird Shortcut Icon. When I click on this Icon a "Setup" Message box appears with:
"Your Computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Thunderbird. Do you want to restart now?"
When I clicked on "YES" the computer restarted and went into Windows and this same "Install Program Icon" is still there. I can't get into Thunderbird now as it seems Thunderbird is in a sort of limbo because it can't update itself!
So I was wondering if there is a way to revert Thunderbird back to it's previous version without uninstalling it so I can gain access again?
I have my Thunderbird Profile located on another partition and it can be a real pain getting everything linked up again!
Thanks for your time and help!
Sincerely,
John Eline

Simpler to just uninstall / delete the existing program directory and reinstall using a download from https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/
