Hi maxwellplum, could you describe the problem in more detail? For example, is the problem one of the following, or something else:
- Firefox says you need to approve a redirect before you can load a page
- Firefox says your connection to the site is not secure
- A page says it cannot load because Firefox or an add-on is blocking it
- Something else
For #1:
Please make sure the redirect block is turned off:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste access and pause while the list is filtered
(C) If the accessibility.blockautorefresh preference is bolded and "modified" or "user set" to true, double-click it to restore the default value of false

Do either of these articles help?
For #3:
To investigate whether the issue could be a content blocker, please check these possibilities:
(A) Built-in Tracking Protection feature (especially in private windows).
Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the toolbar (next to the green lock) when this problem hits? More info on how to use the shield to manage blocking: What happened to Tracking Protection?.
(B) Content blocking extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix.
These typically provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page. If you make an exception for the currently displayed site, does that help at all?
