How can I display installed add-ons in the main panel of Firefox, and not in the sidebar?

The add-ons are now displaying in the sidebar, but I don't want them there. How can I switch back to the installed add-ons showing up in the main panel, instead?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean Firefox's left sidebar, where you can display bookmarks (Ctrl+b) or history (Ctrl+h)? That's odd.

How are you accessing the Add-ons page? These methods should open the page in a new tab:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

If you are using a bookmark, try this:

  • right-click your bookmark
  • choose Properties from the menu
  • in the lower right corner of the Properties dialog, uncheck the box for "Load this bookmark in the sidebar"

Was any of that helpful?

Do you use this add-on:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/all-in-one-sidebar/

It should have a setting in its Options for which pages to show in the sidebar and that should let you deselect the Add-ons page.
