Yes, you read it right. I want to submit a feedback about the Firefox browser and it looks like it is not possible.

When I go to the menu Help -> Submit Feedback option, it redirects me ti this site https://mozilla.crowdicity.com/ where you cannot submit any feedback, you can only submit ideas.

What the hell?

I do not appreciate Firefox updates changing my default homepage during update. This is not the first time it has done it. Please leave MY default home page settings alone. Don't become a Microsoft type bully!

The feedback page is useless and I don't see any way to contact Mozilla so this will probably go unviewed and be more of a rant but Firefox absolutely needs a much better profile management and back system. Particularly there should be a mandatory step to backup a current profile before updating. Today I updated Firefox not by choice, for some reason my PC decided that a single click was a double click. So the latest version created a brand new profile I assume because I already had Firefox open. I am beyond rage right now because I just spent the last half hour trying to find my correct profile in my user data because for some insane reason Firefox decided to create two new profiles.

I manually backed up my profile data but it's incredibly stupid that A) the profile naming is gibberish and B) I had to do that in the first place.8

Mozilla has no true feedback page any more, so I chose to post here. I kept the "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" box unchecked since I began to use the Firefox browser (years ago). While I was researching a different issue, I found other users' posts about app.normandy. They all said that it allowed Mozilla to do what Mozilla promised not to do: run studies in violation of users' preference to opt out. Based on what I learned from those posts, I found where app.normandy was in my computer's about:config and toggled it to false. I want to thank those other users for their posts. Mozilla's explanation, also according to those posts, is that "Normandy is a collection of servers, workflows, and Firefox components that enables Mozilla to remote control Firefox clients in the wild based on precise criteria." Aside from whether or not Mozilla should be remote-controlling clients in this way, does it really consider all the diverse places in the world where its users live to be "in the wild?"

For the past several updates, it seems that Mozilla is becoming a form of bloatware, trying to be all things to all people. Many of us have been involved in the use of computers for 30 years or so, have got our systems to do what we wish to do - we are not gamers, not webpage entrepreneurs, code-writers etc. who marvel in making programme monstrosities.

My system is set up for the disabled - employing VoIP, IP etc. and you f*k it up with your 'forced' changes - yes, they are supposed to be optional, but you throttle and throttle until we have to push 'yes' to update and then we have to trim away what is necessary - in my instance - tools for the disabled of which you don't seem to give a merde. You are all in your own little worlds and don't realize the breadth of the Mozilla community and who uses it - PARTICULARLY FOR SURVIVAL NEEDS - who do not fit into your preoccupations with becoming bigger and better.

Perhaps you might come out with a slimmed down - remove the McD fats and salt - version so that the rest of us can continue to use Mozilla without it causing out computers from shutting down - which has been a problem since the past 3 updates.
