I have Brisbane Times (BT) as my home page on Firefox (which is my main browser). Since I installed the latest version of FF, I have to login manually (not automatically) to BT and having done so when I close an article it logs me out of BT. Firefox asks of if I want to make FF my home browser. I see that BT is one of my saved logins but this logging out etc is something that did not happen with the older version of FF. So please how do I permanently make FF my home browser and how do I get it to remember my login on BT when I flick between articles?

A few weeks ago I noticed that browsing in Firefox started being slower / sluggish.

It usually happens in YouTube or Twitch, but can also happen while scrolling with the mouse in wikipedia for example.

Some examples: -When having a Twitch stream open, the stream is running fine, but when clicking and moving the volume slider on the player, it does not move smoothly, and with some delay. -When doing a bit more heavy browsing, sometimes a tab might get "stuck", for example, the twitch stream might start to buffer for a few seconds. I notice the buffering is not related to any bandwidth related issue. -Firefox reacts slower (or with a small delay) while moving between tabs, clicking on links, etc. This usually happens only after a few hours after launching and browsing with Firefox.

Most happen after a while since I launch Firefox. And by a while I mean maybe 2-3 hours, and I don't have a ton of tabs open. It becomes slower much, much faster than it used to in the past.

Now, sometimes it can take Firefox up to 30 seconds to close completely, before I can launch it again.

I had the same Extensions installed before these issues started happening.

I tried uninstalling Firefox completely, then manually deleting the remaining profile folder, and do a fresh install of the latest Firefox version.

I checked the Windows Task Manager, and it shows (14) processes under Firefox. Is this normal? I tried unticking the "Use recommended performance settings" and restarting Firefox, but it still reached (14) processes after a couple of minutes.

I am not sure if it is related to Firefox itself. My computer is 5 years old but functioning properly...

I did not check if similar issues happen on a different browser. I am just so used to Firefox.

I had a few weird bug in Windows 10, but those existed for a good while now, and are not similar to the ones I experience while browsing with Firefox. I didn't notice anything similar while watching video files in a Media Player.

I am not sure if it can be hardware related. All seem to be working properly...

I want to figure out what is causing this. If you need any more information let me know.

I've been having an interesting problem with Firefox for the past couple of months regarding only Soundcloud, where after the first visit to the website it won't load, giving a generic "Sorry! Something went wrong" screen. Firefox will continue to not load the site correctly until I clear the cookies and the cache, which works but only for one visit, and as soon as I close the tab and open soundcloud again or refresh the tab the problem comes back. I have disabled all of my extensions as well as enhanced tracking protection when testing. A firefox refresh also did not solve the problem. The only way I can get the site to behave normally is when using private browsing.

The console is filled with errors regarding javascript files (source URI is not allowed in this document).

Thanks

A very serious bug in all Firefox browsers (it's been around for several years!). If you open multiple tabs (many tabs) in your browser, virtually all settings will not work, e.g. you won't open Options, Menus, various tasks, extensions, won't save your bookmarks, and many other problems. Although the browser opens a page and the Tab works! But everything else is NOT WORKING, even in Safe Mode or Troubleshooting Mode! I've reported this many times: No developer help! Windows 10 Home.Lots of memory. Here is what the Firefox upgrade to 94.0.1(I believe that's it - can't tell because of loss of tool bar) has done to my laptop: (1) destroyed saved passwords (2) destroyed File History (3) Caused several programs to cease to function (4) destroyed bookmarks (5) destroyed task bar and eliminated all shortcuts (6) because of destruction of File History, made it impossible to do a Microsoft Restore.

This is truly the worst computer experience in my long life. I have tried desperately to tell Firefox NEVER TO UPGRADE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. No luck. I am absolutely sick at heart over the dire situation in which this unwanted upgrade has left me. Is there ANY HELP???????? I'm pretty desperate. Thanks for reading.

P.S. AND NO, I CAN NOT BOOT INTO SAFE MODE. Microsoft now hates me and is unable to install updates; however, life is not that simple. In spite of my telling MS not to update without permission, it continues to try - which fails, which wastes about 2.5 hours.

I use the bookmark bar very heavily and my workflow was to just "drag" the tab with the mouse to folder in the bookmark bar, which would unfold and I drop the tab/bookmark in the desired sub-folder.

This worked really well for me, and was fast.

Recently, this stopped working. I can still drop a bookmark in one of the main folders in the bookmark bar. But not in any sub-folder, since the main folder closes as soon as I move the mouse inside it. It is also not possible anymore to move the already-saved bookmarks around via drag&drop.

I cannot turn on the audio input and the audio output in Discord web application when running Firefox for desktop PC. The advice from Mozilla Support knowledge base regarding how to enable microphone did not help, since there is always no access request from discord.com detected in "Preferences" -> "Privacy & Security" -> "Permissions".

I am using the latest version of Firefox (94.0.1) on Windows 7 SP 1 and Windows 10 20H2. In Discord Support knowledge base the app is claimed to support Firefox version 80+.

Hi, I have set my default application for .pdf to be Microsoft Edge. So for example, when I open a .pdf in the file explorer it opens up in the Edge browser. When I open a .pdf in the download menu in Firefox the file does open in a pdf-explorer version of Edge. That is Edge will kinda open a new application just to show the .pdf, with no options for tabs or in general work as a web browser, it will only be a .pdf viewer. I would prefer for Firefox to open the .pdf in the normal Edge browser. Is there any way I can fix that?
