Firefox prompted me to update, I hit download, my entire PC froze, I restarted the computer, when I opened firefox again and hit "restore session" it restored a session that I had opened months ago. When I checked my history, everything after that older session had been deleted. All of my history from the past few months has been deleted. I tried a few different solutions from trying to research the problem, nothing so far has worked. The only thing I have found is a session restore error saying "could not decompress file", but I could not find the file it was attempting to decompress. This is the error message I found.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm one of those people that tends to have way too many tabs open at once due to poor memory, and losing months of tabs and progress is a huge setback. I'm very desperate to get the history and tabs back.

I have updated to the newest version of firefox, and cannot see the menu bar or search field. I can see everything in a restore down (smaller size window) but I cannot see anything in maximize view of the window....only happens with firefox....everything works chrome and edge. If I click on the white bar it minimizes the window.

Hi, My Mum who is tech illiterate has recent encountered a problem while browsing-

She is unable https://direct.asda.com/george/clothing/10,default,sc.html

and only this site, she can do so in private mode and on other browsers, I have tried disabling her 2 extentions, I have cleared her cookies, cache and browsing history for Asda Direct but it still comes up blank. She does not use a VPN, she is in the UK.

The only thing I could suspect is if Firefox's VPN is somehow activating just for that one site but I can't see it being on, I only say this because I have to turn off my VPN on my own device to access this site.

Any help?

I couldn't see password management page. To be specific, I click the "password" option in the top right corner lists. Normally it will show all the website that firefox saved, but now I couldn't see anything except frame. I will upload the interfance that I see. this problem happend since an update. And problem contines after several patches. The firefox version that I use is "153.0.3(64-bit)" please help!

I'm wondering if fonts installed locally on Windows/PC can be supported in Firefox PDF Editor any time in the future? If you add this feature, it can bring huge productivity boost to us, the Firefox users. Just wondering if there is any development (or even a consideration) on this.

I have encountered a problem recently with on particular forum site.

When I attempt to login I receive an error after pressing the submit button. 

The form displays this error "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

I have been using the site regulary for several years and have never had this problem

The following is what I am using:

    Firefox ver 153.0.1 64 bit
    Windows 10 and/or Windows 10 (yes this is happening on all 3 of my PCs)

The forum site is using phpBB Forum Software. I do not know the version. As stated above they have been using this software for several years.

In trouble shooting this issue I have discovered that if I do the following in the specified order I can login and create and respond to posts and Private Messages. But as soon as I log out I receive the invalid form message until I do the following steps again.

            1) Clear all cookies, temporary cache, site settings, browsing and download history, site settings
               and saved form info.
            2) Shutdown Firefox 
            3) Navigate to my profile with Windows Explorer 
            4) Delete the file cookies.sqlite

I must do this each and every time I access the site.

I am at a loss as to what to do about this. Does Firefox have any error logs or console logs? If so how can I enable them to see if I can get a better idea of what is happening?

I don't know if it's because I don't have the latest version of Firefox. But I cannot find tab grouping. I have checked to see if there is an update, but I can't find any update at all so just wondering what's going on. the version of Firefox I'm using is: 153.0 (Build #2016172927)

I reinstalled Firefox and can no longer access features by clicking on tabs or menu buttons at the top of the screen. That was most convenient. The Microsoft browser doesn't have the access along the top of the screen either. Please let me know if that is an option in Firefox. Thank you.

Hi, your last update ( 153.0.3) broke my ability to stay signed into or go back to known web sites I have put in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data”. I do clear all the Cookies and Data when I close the browser but now it looks like Cookies and Data is deleted in the “Exceptions – Cookies and Site Data” also. I would love to do a redo on this update and reload the old version. The browser also is showing my PC is Windows 10 and it has been on Windows 11 for 3 years now.

The messages in the attached file and others started appearing on one of our computers today. They look like they are from Mozilla Firefox. They have URLs to click on. So I know these websites are kind of crap anyway, but I have issues with scrolling bsky.social (and other clients for it like witchsky) and twitter. The further into the timeline I get, the more frequently these webpages lag.

They begin freezing every few seconds for a few seconds, during which they queue left or right clicks, page up/page down, and various other commands, only processing them once it unfreezes. Firefox itself still works during this freeze, e.g. opening the main menu. Also, I can still scroll up or down to a limited degree, though this just exposes empty, unrendered webpage until it unfreezes.

bsky.social has had this problem for a long time, but twitter only recently developed this issue after I had to do a cache clear, cookie clear, etc. trying to log in a few weeks ago. Prior to that it didn't have this issue.

Task manager hasn't really helped elucidate what's wrong, so it might be an about:config that I set or even an unruly extension, but I really don't know what to try.
