Hello dear community! My firefox keeps crashing when trying to open a tab or close a tab. I can't replicate it since it happens on random tab-closing and tab-opening. I think it's just crashing when doing something like clicking anywhere and NOT when doing nothing while the system is idling. Thank you for your help! I've been researching for a long time how it’s possible to save a website as a PDF with Firefox by keeping the hyperlinks active. The applications that Firefox offers are inadequate. This means that if I want to save pages on different sites outside of the web search, they are not saved correctly as PDFs. There are applications that also keep hyperlinks active, but with the problem that the scaling of a page no longer corresponds to what it actually has. Alternatively, reference is often made to other browsers such as Chrome or Opera. I know it's running there as it should be, but I want to keep using Firefox. When I search on YouTube I only find trivial things like how to save a PDF in general. I already know how to save PDFs in general, but it is explicitly possible that hyperlinks also remain active which seems like nobody is interested in. This is a major problem. I just don't understand why something as trivial as an A4 sized page of hyperlinks requires 7+ hours of fruitless research? It seems like I'm someone who's only interested in simply having an HTML to PDF with active hyperlinks. Do any of you have experience with this situation? I would like to mention that I also tried wkhtmltopdf. But the conversion with this tool is cumbersome and is no longer necessary for “just a quick save”. My question: How is it possible?

Yesterday I have updated tp macOS 15. Sine then I have trupuble displaying any webpages in Firefox 130. Th econnection just times out. Any other browser such as Brave, Safari, Home, Edge are still working as before teh update. How to fix this please?

Hi Folks, I tried to put this on Bugzilla and read all the pages and pages for nearly and hour and then was not able to get logged in. So if any of you guys out there have seen any of these problems, could you please report them? I've wasted so much time with all this that I have no more, and I'm just exhausted with it.

I Recently Upgraded to Firefox 128.1.0 ESR Windows 11 (I did not have ESR before - waited until version numbers for both versions were the same (128.0.0) before I switched so the profiles (presumably) would not be affected. However since the update to 128.1.0esr multiple problems have appeared. I switched to ESR because I just don't have time right now to deal with inadequately tested software. This should have been a beta (for those who have available extra time), not a roll-out (to those who are already underwater).

1. Both in Firefox and in two webmail applications (GMX & PROTON), pages appear blank (white text on white background) until SELECTED, then text appears and goes away when deselected. You cannot work with it that way. It doesn't happen with other browsers, such as DuckDuckGo - only in Firefox.

2. While going through Settings after so many glitches occurred, I selected Firefox DARK, to see how it looked, since I use it on my iphone, but it didn't work because many of the text items in various places were grey - grey on black is not readable. And in some cases, it was apparently black text on black background that would only appear if selected. When I tried to choose "light" again (or automatic) in FF settings, it still leaves SOME scattered pages dark/unreadable, this includes some options pages for FF extensions.

3. The drag & drop to rearrange the order of items in extension "AutoPinTab" no longer works - it does nothing at all. I think the drag icons are not actively detecting mouse touches.

4. Settings/General/Startup "Open previous windows and tabs" box is NOT checked, but FF does it anyway.

5. Other things in FF Settings and in FF Extensions no longer work right. I don't have time to go back through and detail each one right now. I'm so behind because of all these problems. One fix will likely fix other related problems (or even seemingly unrelated ones).

6. In Settings/Manage Your Extensions - "Reset all Add-ons to Update Manually" does not work. It doesn't change anything in any extension from DEFAULT or ON to OFF.

7. "Always Show"is checked for "Bookmarks Toolbar", but although the space for the bar appears, the only thing on it is the "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar" and "Manage bookmarks...." I can find NO way to get the actual bookmarks back onto the bar - In the right-click context menu that offers "Menu Toolbar" "Bookmarks Toolbar" and "Customize Toolbar", the Bookmarks Toolbar is set to "Always Show" but it no longer works, and won't show the bookmarks. I'm sure this is something the update did - I recall something similar many years ago. The bookmarks are on my drive and FF can access them very clumsily in a time consuming, confusing, round-about way, but they are NOT on the Bookmarks Toolbar any longer and there appears to be no way to get them there.

8. Extensions. Now, some of the extensions will not put their icons up on the toolbars, nor do they all work as they say they do, or as they did. Firefox is becoming unusable for me. There is more, but I'm going to send this for now, hoping someone has some idea what is going on - maybe fixing one bug will fix others too. The missing bookmarks and the white-on-white and black-on-black text, especially in GMX and PROTON email (which only occur when using the Firefox browser to access them) are what's killing me - I don't have time to learn another browser right now.

Are there any plans to address all the current problems in a timely way? It would be much better to wait, to wait until everything has been properly tested before putting onto the machines of people who may not have the luxury of time to debug it for you.

I am so frustrated and stressed right now. I hope someone can offer some ideas and will let Firefox Bugzilla know. I tried but was not successful. Right now, I just feel like crying. Watch all this be something I'VE done wrong, from sheer exhaustion !! --AnneF .

Firefox is my default browser but increasingly (once a week I guess) I have to use chrome to access some sites. This happens with firefox only, (not other browsers) on some sites. The latest site is https://www.skyscanner.ie/. (see screenshot below).

Any ideas?

Hi, So I'm on Facebook. A friend has a new post. The post is all squished together, almost on top of the other line. I have looked over my settings to see if there is a way to alter the spacing but to no avail. I now realized why I stopped using Firefox a little while back and this is the main reason. If I can't read posts on social media apps on my computer browser what's the use?

Suggestions and fixes MOST welcome before I throw my hands up again. Edge is messed up in other ways as is Opera so I'd really love to have just ONE browser that I can depend on. Considering I used to be a HUGE fan of FF back in the day before the entire code was rewritten I'd love to be back in the fold. If this can be resolved I'll stay. For sure.

Specifically I cannot access the PG&E website. FF is suddenly unable to bring up my login page. Several versions ago I started having trouble with another webpage where I webcam is updated every 5 minutes. All other browsers work for these two websites (Edge, Chrome and Brave).

I use Mozilla Firefox for work. Part of my work requires I use the GlobalProtect VPN client. When I log on to the VPN, everything appears to be fine. The problem arises when I log out of the VPN client, such as needing to switch to a different VPN.

When I log out of the VPN client, Mozilla slows down massively. I get the following errors when trying to access websites.

I thought it was a DNS issue, but the change I made previously did not prove to be a reliable fix, and I do not actually know the root cause of what is happening. Firefox returns to normal ONLY after a full computer restart. At this point I am considering switching browsers as, despite Firefox's functionality, it is starting to interfere with my work.

I have used other VPNs, such as Fortigate VPN, and not encountered anything like this.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

I upgraded my version of Firefox from an ESR version to v129.0.1 on Debian 12. Drag and drop of files from the desktop or the file manager (PCManFM-Qt) into the browser stopped working. It is still working properly in Chrome.

This occurs with several web apps but, as an example, it occurs when trying to drag a jpeg into Roundcube Webmail while composing a message.

No browser console errors are genrated when trying to do this. It occurs in Troubleshooting (safe) mode as well. In apps that pop-up a "Drag files here" target, that target still appears but dropping the file on it does nothing.

I had a background image for the new tab page that has suddenly stopped working, it just displays a white screen. I clicked the 'reset to default' button next to 'Wallpapers' on the new tab page to try to fix the problem but nothing happens. No wallpapers show up under that section either where it used to be when it was working. I've restarted Firefox and the same thing happens. I have not enabled any third party CSS wallpaper.

Apart from that, everything else is working as it should. I'm sort of a computer-idiot so if anyone could please use layman's terms it would be very much appreciated!

Hi. For the past few months I have been unable to play samples from the Audible website in Firefox on my android phone. When I click the word "Sample" Audible opens up a new tab with their Web player and I always get an error message that is just a rectangular box with an exclamation mark inside a triangle on the left side of the box. (Screenshot attached.) There are no words inside the box and the only option is to close the tab. Since there is no actual message I'm not sure what the problem is.

Playing samples used to work fine when you could play them within their web page before Audible changed its system. I seem to be able to play samples on Audible's Web player in Chrome, but would prefer to keep Firefox as my default browser. I have tried deleting all history, cookies and cache; closing and reopening Firefox; turning phone off and starting again after an hour. I've also tried enabling autoplay, but that made no difference. I was thinking that the issue may be with my other settings within Firefox, but I can't tell. Any help you can provide would be great. Thank you!

I tried the troubleshooting mode, which turns off all the add-ons. Despite that, my Firefox still lags. For example, when I click on a new tab, it takes a couple of seconds to open. When I am typing, it takes a few seconds every now and then to catch up. Additionally, when I am scrolling, it will be unresponsive for a couple of seconds before jumping to where I supposedly scrolled to. I am using Mint Linux Firefox 128.0.3. Mozilla added Accuweather to my New Tab page today. I can't use it because my VPN uses other locations. I attempted to remove it using the "solution" from another user's post 9 months ago. However, none of those things worked. There is no "Tools" option in the menu and I unchecked and blocked every item on the "Page Info" tab under the "Permissions" header. Zero result.

The Accuweather feed shows up in the upper left corner of the computer screen and does not have a "dismiss" option. I did notice that it has some entries in about:config. Is the solution to be found there?

I am using Firefox v128.2 esr 64bit on big sur 11.7.10..

In firefox there is always this white line on top of the screen when fullscreening a yt video... (but also partial bars in other situations-randomly) (temp workaround : cmd+up arrow . But, whenever you pause or press something it reappears.

Can we please implement a more elegant solution?
