Hello Javabro9, see if Re-initializing the plugins database solve the issue.

Uninstall Firefox from your system by completely removing Firefox and then determine your Windows is 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64). Once you know, head on over to the Java download website and grab the appropriate version. Once this is installed, use Internet Explorer to verify your Java installation. Remember that Google Chrome may not support it, so test with Internet Explorer. If you find it working well, finally go and download Firefox, install it, and you should be good to go!

OK, what we can maybe do is ensure that Java is enabled in Internet Explorer then;

1. Click Tools and then Internet Options 2. Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button 3. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets 4. Make sure the Enable radio button is checked 5. Click OK to save your preference

Failing that, go to Control Panel, select "Internet Options", on the last tab, find half way down a button saying "Reset Browser", click it, select "delete all personal data", then click OK.

Try that and let me know how it goes.

the java you must install is the 32-bit, firefox is 32-bit application and needs 32-bit java

please try the follow :

uninstall the 64-bit if you have it, and all older versions :

http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml

then install the 32-bit : http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

then check if works : http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

EDIT: install the java with CLOSED firefox

thank you

I have tried all the solutions suggested in this and other java plug-in related posts and nothing works. am asked to install missing plug in and then told non suitable are available - hello, ever heard of java. am told to do plug-ins reset - that does not work. how about reinstall java - i do and it does not appear in firefox plugins - works great in safari though.

As a long time firefox user i am very disappointed that they have not been able to address such a fundamental browser issue and i am now forced to use safari which at least has no problem loading java content. please firefox, wake up and fix this.
