In your Tools > Add-ons (or Firefox > Add-ons) do you have RealPlayer Browser Record or do you use any other similar tools that download videos from the web?

already disabled that, and before updating my flash, i have realplayer downloader and another software which i use which is also a downloader, and all those stuff worked well with flash before the update, all i can see is the new flash version ruined it all.

Do you have the exact name (and version numbers?) of the two downloaders. This info would help our QA/Adobe's QA figure out what's going on.

i will post it in a moment

In Tools > Add-ons select the extensions tab and disable anything that says RealPlayer and also select Plugins and disable anything that says RealPlayer (there are 4-5 different ones). That should get Youtube working at least.

Hi guys - for me this helped. Close Firefox - open Internet Explorer - got to the Adobe Flash Player Site:

http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/

In IE you can see there is the 64-bit version - (in Firefox there was just the 32-bit version) - got to: (others)

http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/otherversions/

choose your system and version download it via internet explorer and install the adobe flash player restart firefox and it should work. helped me after wasting one day of my life to find a solution, alle sites work just fine now. hope this helps.

I had this same problem. I uninstalled RealPlayer, and now it's back to working.

i disabled realdownloader and that did the trick. it still works on IE and chrome.

Update. I imagine developers at Firefox and FlashPlayer will be continuing to work on this problem, but the current recommended solution is to uninstall the latest Flash 11.3 and re-install the older FlashPlayer 11.2

I had the same problem as others with FF13.0 and Flash. The solution was provided by the Adobe folks at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4479097.

The solution you used was to disable protected mode. That solution is also given in the links in my last post, the first reply in this thread, and was also initially given in our KB articles, but it was decided reinstalling Flash may be a simpler method to fix the problem.

Note currently some flash installers disable protected mode and some do not. One relatively easy method of checking whether you are using protected mode is to

  1. Look for running processes in Windows Task Manager
(Keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Esc .
N.B. No problem in XP it does not use protected mode )
  2. Now open a website with a video on it and play the video.
  3. If you get
    • one instance of plugincontainer showing as a process protected mode is off,
    • two processes indicate protected mode is on and in use.

RealPlayer
Whilst on the subject of Flash Player, if you do have a problem please also mention whether you have any RealPlayer software installed, and whether that includes options to download or record video.

There have recently been problems with Flash 11.3 and RealPlayer. A new update to Real Player; within the last few days, may have solved the issue; so check for updates as a firststep.

By all means post solutions and updates in this thread, and read it for information, but if you have a problem yourself it is best to start your own thread by following links and prompts from
